Researcher finds evidence of massive Web site compromise
According to a security researcher, several criminal gangs have acquired administrative log-in credentials for more than 200,000 Web sites and used the compromised domains to attack unsuspecting users' PCs with a notorious hacker exploit kit.

The researcher found over 200,000 unique site credentials on a server, over 80,000 of which had been modified with malicious content to launch attacks against unpatched Windows systems.
